Jet Lagged. 3.6.11

Stepping off the plain I let that familiar sent fill my nostrils. Its hard to describe the smell but its one of my most favorite. It's a smell I've known since childhood, that would attach itself to our belongings after a trip to India. Burning chestnuts mixed with ceder and earth. I inhaled as much as I could while walking through the airbridge that connected the plane to the gate.

It was a pretty easy trip actually. It was nice to fly alone so far. I kept referring to the flight as '14 hours of quite reflection'. I mostly reflected on the fact that I could easily watch 4 or 5 movies in a row. What a great opportunity to watch all three Lord of The Ring movies. Next time.

I think I was lucky getting on to my connection though. When I arrived at Logan, the woman behind the counter of Continental informed me that she was putting me on an earlier flight right away; Newark was running late. And they most definitely were. There were people stuck there for over 8 hours. Bless that woman at Continental.

Now I am here, at my aunties house in Gurgaon. It's now 4:11am. That makes it 5:42pm your time. My old time.

Soon enough we will be on our way to Malaysia. I can't wait to smell it.
